TROPICAL AND BAMBOO FURNITURE
This collection is primarily inspired by 18th century Swedish hand-carved faux bamboo furniture by Ephraim Ståhl. Ståhl worked during the reigns of Gustav IV, Charles XIII and Charles XIV. All of them commissioned numerous chairs from his workshop and his work is currently represented in the Swedish Royal Palace, Gripsholm Palace, Tullgarn and Rosersberg.
Each piece in this collection has been handcrafted by master artisans following traditional techniques and paying special attention to detail with materials carefully chosen to stand the test of time. The faux bamboo finish is hand painted and aged to an exceptional degree rarely seen in painted furniture.
The faux bamboo finish is hand painted and distressed to mimic the grain, spots and stains of real bamboo.
