Ottoline is a London-based Dutch design house founded by Ottoline de Vries.

Known for her playful use of color and composition, her unique and contemporary designs are inspired by her love of nature, as well as her appreciation for historical styles, cultures and art forms.

It was during her time as a lawyer in Amsterdam that Ottoline developed her passion for design, restoring antiques and decorating them with paint and wallpaper in her spare time. When she couldn't find the designs she was looking for, she began to create her own. At first she was dedicated to brightening up the homes of friends and family, but as the demand for her carefully crafted pieces grew, so did her dream of a creative and colorful future. Being shortlisted for the first Rijksstudio award at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and being featured in the Dutch magazine Residence were the push she needed to start her own business and pursue her dream.

After moving from her native Amsterdam to the design powerhouse that is London, Ottoline launched her first wallpaper collection - Ballet Russes - in the spring of 2015. This collection, praised for its originality and narrative, earned her the award for "Best Wallpaper Collection" at the Homes & Gardens Fabric Award 2015. Since then, her studio has been recognized as a new voice in the traditional world of home décor.

Ottoline is regularly featured in interior design magazines such as House & Garden, The World of Interiors, AD and Homes & Gardens. She has collaborated with several interior designers, artisans and brands for whom she has opened her ever-growing treasure box of patterns, wallpaper and fabrics.
