Mc Pinturas is a pioneer brand in Spain in the manufacture of high-end paints for decoration.
It develops and markets its own color charts based on and inspired by traditional architecture, the colors of nature as well as the most classic colors used in interior design; based on current trends and then applied in decoration and architecture. Its goal has always been to offer its customers a high quality raw material together with its contribution and know-how in creating colors combining tradition and innovation.
Its color chart is composed of the 9 initial ranges; whites, grays, stones, ochers, greens, blues, browns, reds and pinks, with 8 colors per range; 2 trend charts, with 16 colors per chart, and a chart of Moroccan blues.
NEW FINISH: CHROMA
It is an ecological powder paint based on natural pigments, very versatile as it can be applied on furniture as well as on walls/facades.
For interior application, it is distributed in powder form, while for exterior application, the paint comes ready to use.
There are 12 colors on the color chart; however, any color of MC Pinturas can be used in this finish, as well as any other color from a physical sample with which to work, customizing the color. It is a very easy paint to apply since it is done with a brush and, depending on the finish you want to achieve, there are different application techniques.
OTHER TYPES OF FINISHES AND FEATURES
Plastic paint is the most commonly used acrylic-based material for walls and ceilings, both indoors and outdoors.
It allows a uniform and opaque coverage. In terms of finishing, there are 3 finishes: matte, satin and gloss. The matte finish is the most porous, and therefore, the most delicate, despite being the most used, and the gloss finish is the most resistant.
The matte finish gives the walls a warm effect and a lot of depth to the colors. The aspect that it provides to the walls is very natural and similar to the old techniques of tempera and lime, but being the plastic one more impermeable and washable. The plastic finish is less resistant and washable than others that are indicated for walls and are more resistant. Two types of qualities, for interior and exterior.
WATER-BASED GLAZE : 1 liter and 4 liter cans
Water-based enamel is also a high quality acrylic material, which has been gaining use in recent years. It is a paint of great hardness and resistance, which is used for walls and ceilings, as well as for furniture, carpentry and enclosures, both indoors and outdoors, as it is very resistant to weathering.
When used for walls and ceilings, it is generally more suitable for areas with higher traffic and more exposure to moisture, grease and dirt, such as bathrooms, kitchens, entrances and stairs. Although it is increasingly being used for all areas. This is because it is a less porous material than plastic, therefore, more resistant and more washable. It can even be scrubbed with a cloth, without altering or degrading the painted surface.
It is the most suitable for carpentry and enclosures both wood and iron, indoors and outdoors. The finishes are: matte, satin and gloss. In this case, the resistance is very similar, and it is usually chosen more for its appearance than for its hardness. Even so, for exteriors, the satin finish is more recommended.
SILK FINISH
Acrylic based paint. It can be used on interior walls and ceilings. It has a matte finish with a slight sheen, achieving a slightly satin finish hence its name silk finish. It is very washable, which makes it especially suitable for bathrooms, kitchens and high traffic areas. It has excellent stain resistance.
SYNTHETIC GLAZE | 1 liter and 4 liter cans
Its diluent is solvent, so as it is more aggressive with the environment and health, we recommend to use it only in cases that require a very high durability and protection.
TWO COMPONENT WATER-BASED EPOXY : 1 liter and 4 liter cans
Highly resistant paint to chemical products and mechanical actions, for the protection of concrete floors and metallic structures. Suitable for very high traffic areas such as garages, commercial premises, etc. It is generally used for floors and can be used as self-leveling.
CHALK PAINT (LIMESTONE PAINT) AND WAXES : 125ml, 1 liter, 4 liters and 12 liters cans
It is the paint that comes from chalk. Having chalk as the main element makes it an excellent paint for furniture, it is very easy to use because it does not need primer, it can be applied on almost any surface, but it needs a final coat of wax to protect it. Available all the color chart in this finish.
The wax is also made by Mc Pinturas from virgin wax, carnauba and natural turpentine essence. Types of wax:
- Natural wax: emphasizes the depth of color and gives a smooth finish, can be polished.
- Aging wax: It has a dark color, based on shadow pigment, to age and give texture.
- White wax: White wax that softens and gives a carving effect.
